Synopsis
Anchored in Chvalovice, a small Czech village on the Austrian border, the film traces that what changes against the things that remain.
The traditional dancing that is present at most of the official cultural and religious events are almost like a ritual that continue throughout the village's history despite all the political changes and upheavals. Despite this, one gets the impression that Chvalovice is a freak show because of the high volume of sex clubs. How and why has this come about?
Within this dedicated time-lapse documentary, we plunge into the life of a village that has gone through many ups and downs and political upheavals. It has a long history of being a conspicuous border village, and since the fall of the Berlin wall, it has become the third richest district in the whole of the Czech Republic. But how did it become so rich and who are the people living there?
